Christmas Craft Fair and 'Swish'

My friend Imola and I are doing a craft fair at The Holiday Inn, in Telford on the 29th Nov. We are really looking forward to it and are hoping for a good turn out.

All week I have been in making mode. Trying to fit everything into my very (at the moment) busy life.
I have had lots of college work to do, ucas forms to fill in, children to bath and tea to make. I am thoroughly enjoying this busy time at the moment. I can't guarantee that I won't crack at some point though :)

My latest piece of college work. This is going towards my portfolio for uni applications. It is a design for a top, made  from paper. This is the toile. The next part of the process is to make a fabric toile, which I will be starting on Wednesday. Soooo EXCITED!!

Anyway if your out and about in Telford, Shropshire, on the 29th Nov, come and take a look at the craft fair.
Me and Molly will be pleased to see you.

Best get back to making.

Christmas Craft Creating

Hey there,

I know it has been a while since my last post, but many exciting things have been happening! I have enrolled onto a Foundation diploma in Art and Design, with a view to applying to uni in January.

It has been fairly challenging, with the kids and everything, but I think I am getting there. So much so, that I have booked two craft fairs for Christmas. The first being on the 29th of November at The Holiday Inn in Telford and the second at Battling Brook School in Leicestershire on the 16th of December.

I will upload flyers as soon as I can figure out how :)

These are photos from a previous craft stall that I have done

You can pretty much imagine the state of panic I am in at the minute, but hey doesn't pressure get things done?

I have a few things made up already and have plenty of ideas rolling around, so shouldn't have too much problem filling two stalls.

Any way best get on with it, if I want to have any stock.

Take care

HOT, HOT, HOT

It's been hot here in sunny Shropshire. We have been hitting the high 20's (almost as hot as Malta) and I have been loving it. There have been lots of after school park trips with ice cream for the kiddies, and lots of lounging around in the garden for the mommy's and daddies.

There has also been a lot of gardening plans being formulated. Our garden is a decent size, but is mostly slabbed, with a small strip of grass and a small flower border. We have to be fairly creative in our planting ideas. I am trying to incorporate veg and flowers and still make it look pretty I'll let you know how it goes....

There has still been a fair bit of knitting and crocheting going on.

And a bit of fabric buying......

Right now I'm off, I'm joining a craft group tonight and I'm super excited. Need to go choose the project I am going to take.

Blanket Orders..

I have finally got a couple of orders!! I was beginning to think no one liked the things I made ha ha.

Yesterday I had an order come through for two baby blankets. One boy, one girl, both completely different. I have already started the girl one and can't wait to get stuck into both of them properly!!

I am also trying to make a load of stock for some craft fairs that I will be applying for, Blankets, Cushions, Bunting and more.

Stay posted for more details!!

Where to start??

My fiancĂ© asked me to marry him in October last year. Since that day I have been fantasizing over our big day. No actual plans have been set yet, but I can't stop myself from thinking of all the small details.

His and Hers Hammered Silver, Wedding Rings

In my head I am planning a small affair, with as many handmade creations as I can reasonably include.
I'm thinking bunting, handmade favours and table decorations.  I keep adding tons of stuff to my favourite list
on Etsy.

Here are some of my favourite items I have found so far.

Floral Paper lantern table decorations wedding favour candle handmade made to order S

Do you think I might need to make some actual plans, so I can stop daydreaming about these details and actually add the details into the plan?

Blanket Day

Today I will mostly be sat on the sofa with a half finished crochet blanket. I love this rainy weather, I know most people are not keen, but I myself love the feeling of being snuggled and cosy inside with a blanket and a cuppa.

The boy is at school, Daddy is travelling down to London, so mummy and daughter are having a lazy, cosy, crafting day. Crocheting blankets is the agenda for today, with a sprinkling of of sewing machine magic, once the baby is napping.

The pictures in todays post are of a blanket I made, it is available in my Etsy shop.

Hope you all have a cosy day in the warm.

Enjoy x
